Here you guys go, some Tuesday Tunes in the form of my “Morning Lawyer Playlist” that I listen to upon sitting at my desk and grumbling.
Yeah. You’ll need Spotify for this one.

Here’s a lifelong lesson that hearkens from way back: In trying times, we can either laugh or we can cry. I like laughing more than crying. This is something I learned growing up in a household the loved Jewish comedians, who had sayings like “If you can’t say anything nice, say it in Yiddish” and “Rejoice not at thine enemy’s fall – but don’t rush to pick him up either.”
So in that vein, here’s Tom Lehrer, embodying the quote from Mel Brooks: “Humor is just another defense against the universe.”
Today’s Tuesday Tunes is abbreviated, but is a song for the pain of all the lawyers out there who have worked on a brief all day only to have the computer shit out right as you’re fucking finishing.
Today is Tuesday, and therefore it’s time for Tuesday Tunes! On an actual Tuesday! I’m getting pretty good at this shit.
Here’s today’s song from the Bar and Grill Singers, a lawyer singing group, that gives you an idea of why your damn invoices are so high:
It’s Tuesday, and that means it’s Tuesday Tunes Time (dammit do I love alliteration).
You’ll notice there was no post yesterday. That’s because yesterday was a holiday, and I was rightfully busy with other shit. But the rest of the posts are on schedule, with tomorrow being proofed and Friday getting set up for the Film Friday discussion of “The Verdict,” a Paul Newman film featuring an inebriated attorney in the case of his career.
But for now, enjoy a little S.O.B.
